Weekly performance: The S&P 500 was up 0.67%. Gold was off 0.50%, and silver was nearly flat, up 0.03%. Platinum was nearly flat, down 0.11%, and palladium was down 0.46y%. The HUI gold miners index was off 0.49%. The IFRA iShares US Infrastructure ETF was nearly flat, up 0.15%. Energy commodities were volatile and higher on the week. WTI crude oil was up 1.64%, while natural gas was crushed by 9.74%. The CRB Commodity Index was off 0.23%. Copper was up 0.52%. The Dow Jones US Specialty Real Estate Investment Trust Index was up 0.20%. The Vanguard Utilities ETF was up 0.39%. The dollar index was up 0.41% to close the week at 107.49. The yield on the 10-yr U.S. Treasury gained 11 bps to close at 4.63%.
